Living In Mosman Park - A Day In The Life Between River And Sea

Rubbing the sleep from your eyes you awaken to the peaceful sounds of birds chirping outside and realise….it’s the weekend. Saturday mornings are the best.

Waking up to the freedom of two whole days of to yourself, you inhale a calming breath, stretch your arms wide and embrace the beginnings of a leisurely weekend in Mosman Park. You’ve hit the snooze button twice already so you finally tell yourself it’s time to get out of bed and start the day, so [yawn] let’s do this!

9:04am – A Fresh Stroll

Stepping out of your Farlight Apartment, you can already smell the saltiness in the air from the ocean less than one kilometre away. Thanks to the premium coastal location of Mosman Park, you’re spoilt for choice with Mosman Beach, Leighton Beach and even a dog-friendly beach all within walking distance to your front door.

Since you walked South down the coast last weekend, you decide to head North for a 10-minute stroll up to South Cottesloe Beach Exercise Park for a bit of a morning work-out.

10:34am - Breakfast At Gill Street Café

You’ve worked up a sweat, burnt some calories and are surely now worthy of a breakfast to celebrate your healthy start to the weekend. With an array of cafes nearby, you decide to take a 15-minute walk East down Pearse Street to find yourself a table at Gill Street Café & Deli – one of the favourites in the area.

Known for their delicious range of cakes and bircher muesli, you decide on a generous serving of smashed avo on toast, with a long macchiato (topped up of course) as your breakfast of champions. Now for an easy 14-minute walk home to burn it all off.

12:12pm – Time To Do The Groceries

One of the reasons you love living in Mosman Park so much is the endless supply of hyper-local amenities all within close proximity to your home. The weekend shop is made easy with a Coles located just a 2-minute drive from your front door, giving you less time in the car and more time browsing the aisles.

After picking up your supplies for the week ahead, you decide to head back home to your Fairlight Apartment.

12:48pm – Lunch To Go

Breakfast was great but you’re a bit peckish again, so you decide to swing past Good Things Café to pick up one of their famous dairy and sugar-free smoothies. Located just 4-minutes from home, it’s a quick and easy stop off before arriving home to relax ahead of your night out tonight.

2:35pm – A Leafy Neighbourhood

Living in Mosman Park really is a walk in the park, quite literally. Mann Oval and Davis Oval are both just 500 metres away from your apartment, so you decide to head down for a stroll around the ovals to take in some fresh air and to greet some of the numerous dogs which frequent the area. With such leafy surroundings, and the Swan River foreshore also within walking distance, it really is such a great place to live.

Since you have evening plans lined up, it’s back to the house for an afternoon snooze before heading out again.

6:00pm - Dinner Is Booked

Known as one of the best spots in town for a delicious Italian dinner, you reserve a table for you and your partner at the renowned Belin Italian Cucina, located 250 metres from your front door. It’s almost worth leaving the car keys at home tonight…

One look at their dinner menu and you’re already struggling to choose from their huge range of highly authentic dishes, from fish of the day and steaks, to pastas that leave you wanting more. You decide on the slow cooked handmade beef gnocchi to pair with your red wine and are immediately pleased with your final decision – what a great day of eating you’ve had!

7:45pm – A Night At The Flicks

After a pit stop at Hop Radar Brewing Co for a pint of their refreshing ales, you head over to the Camelot Outdoor Cinemas – located just a 5-minute walk from home and alongside the park where you were walking earlier today.

There’s something about the classic art deco architecture that makes you feel at home when you step inside the Camelot cinema, with a huge range of movies to choose from their full program. Often a popular location for Fringe World, it’s very handy living so close to such a unique venue that offers a great night out within walking distance to your front door.

10pm - Home To Relax

It’s been a full day of activities and you’re now ready to jump into your pyjamas and slippers, whilst enjoying a warm tea in your luxurious Fairlight Apartment. As you sit back and relax into your favourite spot on the couch, you realise that you’ve barely ventured outside of your local neighbourhood, yet it’s been a full day of leisurely activity and the perfect start to the weekend.

With so many reasons to live in Mosman Park, it’s clear that your Fairview Apartment really does offer the very best of coastal, riverside and interconnected living in one of Perth’s most desirable suburbs.
